Confidentiality
Safeguarding is a priority for Growing Mindsets. Any information given to Growing Mindsets will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. The only exception for the information to be disclosed to a third party, is if it is required by law or where action might by necessary to prevent harm to the client or someone else.
When using technology, the client must acknowledge this is not always secure, so accepts the risks when using email, text, phone or video calls with Growing Mindsets.
Growing Mindsets will either email or speak to the child’s adult after each session has taken place to inform them what has been achieved during each session. This will be in the form of a brief summary, not word by word account of every discussion had. By sharing key information only, you are then able to discuss with your child any work we have covered, if you would like to or if you feel it would help – your choice.
Data Protection
Information collected regarding a client is stored safely and securely. It may be collected via our Contact Form on our website or via paper registration. This information will be not be accessed by anyone other than me at Growing Mindsets. I collect the following information with a parent/carer/school when setting up sessions with their child(ren).
- Child’s name
- Parent’s name
- Email address
- Phone number (if needed)
- Child’s school and year Group
- Additional needs
Payment Details
The cost for each coaching session will be £45
If you book a block of six sessions upfront, there will be a discount to £40 each.
School fees will stay at £45 per hour due to travel and parking expenses.
It is recommended most invention should be in place for a minimum of six sessions, if possible. If it is felt that more than six sessions are needed to support the child further, this will be discussed between Growing Mindsets and the carer/parent/school and assessed on an individual basis.
Payment can be via bank transfer or with cash.
Growing Mindsets business bank details will be provided on request.
Booking Sessions
Times and frequency of the sessions will be arranged between Growing Mindsets and the client/school depending on both parties needs and commitments. This action plan is not binding and may be altered and adjusted by mutual agreement, in accordance with the terms set out in this agreement. Where no specific number is agreed, sessions will be provided on a session by session basis. If paying in for a bulk (six week) booking, the client’s place is only confirmed and secured when payment is received.
If a client needs to rearrange a session, they should provide at least 24 hours’ notice. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, it may result in the session still being payable. This is at the discretion of the coach. If Growing Mindsets needs to rearrange a coaching session they will also give the client at least 24 hours notice, where possible.
When a client pays for a session or sessions in advance, those session(s) must be taken within 6 months of the payment date or their fee is forfeited.
As stated in the website, Growing Mindsets will work with children with either CBT, counselling skills, growth mindset and positive psychology techniques. If at any time, the coach believes that the child needs more specific intervention, recommendations and signposting to other organisations will be made to safeguard the child’s mental health and wellbeing.
As with all therapies and coaching, there is not a magic wand that can fix everyone’s problems. It is a process of working with a therapist to understand and address the mental health issues. Coaching can be very helpful for many people, but it is not a guarantee of a “fixed” person. It sometimes is a slow process which only plants the seeds of progress in a child’s mind, for them to work through, and with, over time.
Photo Consent
Photo consent will be asked for by the parent/carer/school when sessions are set up. Any photos or videos will only ever be used for business purposes including, business social media, website and advertising. It will never be shared anywhere without the client’s consent.
